Our dear language assistant Lily Koppen is sharing with us in this post her experience when joining students in this field trip!!!
"I had a wonderful day at the Teatro de la Maestranza and then to a nearby park with the 5th and 6th graders on Friday! First, we saw a show from two men from a group called Vibra-Tó who played songs using instruments made from everyday household objects. The students joined in on creating music with their instruments they had made in music class out of CDs and paper. The show was a lot of fun! Next, I went with the students to a park nearby and talked with them about how they liked the show, what kind of music they like, their activities outside of school, etc. Some students shared with me about Seville and the foods they had brought with them. I loved spending time with the students outside the classroom, helping them with their English and learning new Spanish vocabulary in the process!"
